NuvoSonic SeaScout^TM Parametric Port Security Sonar System
The SeaScout^TM Parametric Port Security Sonar System is the highest performance sonar for Port Security in the world today. With detection ranges at 5-10 times that of conventional sonar alternatives, and with area coverage improved up to a factor of 100, the SeaScout^TM offers a wide range of advanced features. These include the availability of full 360 degree coverage, automatic target detection and localization with identification technology options, Low-Probability-of-Intercept (LPI) and Operational Reserve Modes, mono-static and multi-static operation, countermeasures mitigation, and pier side deployment in most situations.

Because of its unique exploitation of parametric sonar principles and advanced, patented technology, the SeaScout^TM is the ultimate intrusion detection system for protecting high value assets in ports and harbors. Parametric Array Sonic Echo Ranging (PASER^TM) Sonar Technology
The SeaScout^TM offers the most sophisticated embodiment ever, of patented PASER^TM technology. PASER^TM enabled sonars develop narrow laser-like beams of sound at low frequencies, which are electronically scanned about to cover a large search area. The narrow beams are generated using a unique form of the Westervelt Parametric Transmitting Array, to ensonify targets without generating significant amounts of unwanted reverberation and clutter. The wide bandwidth spread spectrum waveform processing, as well as low side lobe levels of the transmit beam response minimizes counter-detection, and provides resistance to sonar countermeasures, while simultaneous transmission and reception eliminates the need for range-blanking, and allows lower peak power operation.

Proven Commercial, Off the Shelf (COTS) Standards
The SeaScout^TM makes full use of COTS standards for processing, display, operational software, and telemetry. The SeaScout^TM electronics design can make use of bidirectional, Gigabit telecom fiber optics for both wet-end control and receiver data collection, and promotes maximum flexibility for customization of the standard product line via software and firmware upgrades. The wet end assemblies and topside signal processing hardware have been selected for maximum supportability in the field.

Product Variants
The proven, patented, PASER^TM technology of the SeaScout^TM is scalable to allow customization using the standard product components. Variant designs include distributed acoustic barrier systems, smaller sensors for scanning the underside of tankers, cruise ships, and other surface vessels, and (smaller still) sensors for diver-held, and Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (AUV) applications. The NuvoSonic SeaScout^TM Sonar Barrier is an invisible underwater barrier. The Sonar Barrier can be used to protect choke points, such as entries to harbors, or can be arranged to form a protective perimeter around installations such as a drinking water intake in a reservoir.
